Great painting Hester
I think this piece by Jonathan Ashworth conveys a complexity and depth of emotion by way of an uncluttered and simple image. It is a moving and thought provoking piece.
Amazing and very topical work from a very talented artist.
Interesting picture
It’s difficult to visualise these works of art from the aspect of size and proportion.
The black and white simplicity of Jonathan Ashworths picture appeals to my untrained eye because it creates emotion and atmosphere.
“Striped Curtains”, by Jonathan Ashworth, presents a deceptively simple image that presents the viewer with a mini-drama. Are the curtains being opened, or closed? Is the figure fearful of what’s behind them, or merely curious? Is the fabric sheer, exposing the white horizontal lines behind the curtains? And where are we positioned, to be looking down from such a great height? The more you look, the more you see…
Wow!
An incredible piece from this talented young Artist!
Awesome
I think that this work completed by rug manufacturing is exceptional.;
I hope it gains its true value
I had no idea that we could obtain prints of Jonathan’s work – Bravo
I Really love Mark McQueen’s piece, very interesting work 🙂
@ Mark McQueen…………..WONDERFUL WORK MARK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gives a real feeling of isolation and loneliness, something we can all relate to 🙂
I especially love this evocative print design by Jonathan Ashworth
Stunning artwork, as usual, from Hester Berry
Very simple but thought-provoking.
Beautiful work Hester Berry.
Beautiful!
Another fantastic Hester Berry. Incredible.
This is my kind of picture ,you can find something new in it every day yet never be sure you have ever got it all.
Jonathan Ashworth’s curtains for me.
I was really drawn to Mark McQueens “Mum, I dont want to wear this”. captured a reaction of a child perfectly
Beautiful imagery and skill shown in your painting Hester!!!
House at Night by Jonathan Ashworth is my favorite work!

Ah, books. They get my vote every time.
Congrats on making the shortlist Stevie. Best of luck!
Mark McQueen’s “Mum, I don’t want to wear this” is fantastic work. I just imagined myself doing the exact same thing as a child. Brilliant work, maybe and artist to look out for in the future.
The use of light in Jonathan Ashworth’s ‘House at Night’ is very effective – beautiful no fuss print!
Jonathan Ashworth’s “Striped Curtains” makes one stop, stare, and draws one in. It seems simple yet is full of intrigue and wonderment.
Shine on Silver Sun has great depth, stirring the visual senses and the tired old brain.
Brilliant !
Interesting work Hester, very original and intricate. Very different from other work I have seen from you.Good luck!

Hester, this is a brilliant piece of work – it should really make us all think what we are doing to our beautiful world – good luck!
Jonathan and Fiona Waterer
I love art that makes you really see it, look at it for ages and prompts loads of different thoughts and ideas about what the artist was concerned by. On top of that it’s aesthetically amazing and has so much skill. Love it.
I think there’s some brilliant stuff here but Hester gets my vote
Jonathan Ashworth’s ‘Striped Curtains’: the everyday revisited, and become mysterious. I like it! Joyce Simpson
Brilliant Hester
amazing work Hester
I think Shine on Silver Sun by Hester Berry really puts the accent on the struggle for ecology against the mass and indifference of a largely careless world.
Love Mark McQuuen’s – Mum i don’t want to wear this. How many kids have look just like that when having to wear something horrid.
Why doesn’t a kindle look like this? This is the first gratifying mixture of modern technology coupled with the classic building blocks of civilisation.
Fitting interpretation of northern working class traditions
iThe one that appeals to me most is mark mcqueen,it reminds me of my childhood telling my mum those exact words.
Jonathan Ashworth’s Fireworks – it’s such a cuddly, blissfully happy image. I think it’s his gentle hand and the tango knot of legs that get me…
wonderful work
Hester Berry’s work is amazing and ever-developing in new areas.
Love Steve Ronnie’s stuff – hard to choose which. Went for the book one!
Great work, Stevie!
